Shree’s Maatre Namaha 🙏, I am a novice at LS and have just learned how to chant. I am enjoying your videos with explanations of the Shlokas.

I have a question regarding #29,30 and will appreciate your insight.

Regarding #29, most texts in print have the verse as -

Bhandaputtra-vadhoyukt-bala-vikkrama-nanditaa

Mantrinamba-virachita-vishanga- Vadha-toshita.

I believe Vishukrap menitioned in#30 was originally mentioned after Vishanga to read - mantrinamba-virachita-vishanga-vishkrap-vadha -toshita.

Are you able to shed any light on this theory?

Om Sri Matre Namah

Bhandaputtra-vadhoyukt-bala-vikkrama-nanditaa refers to the joy Devi feels from the valor of Bala in defeating Bhandasura’s sons.

Mantrinamba-virachita-vishanga-vadha-toshita highlights the destruction of Vishanga by Mantrini (Shyamaladevi).

Vishukra alongside Vishanga (making it "vishanga-vishukra-vadha-toshita"), aligns with another interpretation where both demons are addressed together. While some texts might use this version to emphasize the combined effort and sequential defeat of Vishanga and Vishukra, others may choose to separate their mentions to highlight the different warriors ( who contributed to each defeat.

Both interpretations aim to portray the coordinated actions of Devi's army and her satisfaction in their success. Textual variations exist due to different recensions or emphasis on specific events.
